ABOUT
Dr. Jennifer Curtiss, ND

Dr. Jennifer Curtiss

While growing up in rural Southern Oregon, Dr. Curtiss developed a strong connection to the land, exploring the outdoors and the healing powers of nature. The mountains led  her to begin her study of health and wellness at the University of Montana where she received her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition, in 1999. Her love of nature and the passion and care for others inspired her to pursue her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Curtiss became a licensed Naturopathic Physician, in the state of Oregon in 2005 from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. At NUNM she also completed her doctoral research thesis in fertility.  She was fortunate to continue her medical training through a 3-year Functional Medicine Mentorship that continued her passion for neuroendocrine health.

Her mission is to help grow healthy families and communities. She specializes in preconception health and fertility support for both men and women.  During her ongoing training as a clinician she discovered that MTHFR and other Genetic Polymorphisms are often missing factors in an individual or couple’s ability to achieve optimal health and pregnancy. She enjoys the rewarding practice and positive outcomes of optimizing genetic health for ongoing wellness particularly in the areas of mental health, chronic disease, and fertility.

Dr. Curtiss is also a primary-care physician who is rewarded by the healing relationships she has shared with families of up to 3 generations. She practices as a medical detective to identify the underlying cause of a person’s illness. Her treatments may include nutritional therapy using diet and supplements, physical medicine, intramuscular nutrient therapy, botanicals, homeopathy, energetic medicine, and counseling. Dr. Curtiss continues to advance her training in the areas of epigenetics, endocrinology, mental health, and fertility.  However, most of all she enjoys learning from her patients and her own children who teach her lessons on life every day.
