I do not bill insurance in my office, but I do provide patients with the proper form and medical coding to submit to their own insurance company for reimbursement. I recommend that individuals call their insurance company to inquire if their plan covers naturopathic care. 3. What is the cost comparison between medical doctors and Dr. Curtiss?
On average, a visit with a medical doctor costs $64 per 15 minutes of time. Dr. Curtiss charges $25 per 15 minutes of time. The average new patient visit with Dr. Curtiss is 90 minutes and follow-up visits typically last 30-45 minutes. 4. When would you recomend seeing a medical doctor?
I recommednd one see a medical doctor for traumatic/urgent care needs such as a heart attack, broken bone, ruptured appendix, etc. 5. For general health needs, how often does Dr. Curtiss see a patient?
For general health and wellness, I see patients 2-6 times a year depending on one's individual concerns, disease risk, and the diagnostic/preventative testing that may be warranted. 6. What is the difference between over-the-counter supplements and physician-line supplements?
There currently exists little to no regulation of over-the-counter supplements. Studies have found that products in some grocery stores do not contain the ingredients they claim on the label, and they may instead be filled with inert or toxic substances. The supplements I carry go through stringent quality control tests assuring that each product is free of toxins and heavy metals and contain the exact dose of nutrients and botanicals stated on the label. Quality control tests are expensive and result in a higher cost of physician-line supplements.
